Master of Heaven and Earth - Chapter 118 - Leng Yan's Power
A torrent of attacks came crashing down, but unfortunately for them, Leng Yan was no pushover.
The thunder god’s shadow behind him suddenly opened its eyes, and the thunder god’s hammer was gripped tightly in his hand. “Wrath of the Thunder God!” he exclaimed as he swung the hammer with incredible ferocity.
Everyone was stunned. “This is bad, this guy’s strength is surprisingly powerful. We need to activate the four-direction hell killing formation; he must be eliminated today, or we will face endless troubles.”
The last strike made everyone realize the enormous threat Leng Yan posed, and they resolutely decided to destroy him at all costs.
The hell killing formation drained everything around them, and Leng Yan instantly felt immense pressure, as his power was constantly suppressed, while the enemies showed no signs of weakening.
“Ha ha, he can’t hold on any longer!” Ji Long laughed heartily, striking even harder, eager to kill Leng Yan and claim victory for himself.
Leng Yan pretended to be fatigued, hoping to draw them closer. “Not good, Ji Long, fall back! Be careful of a trap!”
“It’s too late,” Leng Yan drew his sword, the Immortal-Slaying Sword radiating a brilliant sword light.
A blood-curdling scream erupted as Ji Long’s arm was severed, while Leng Yan also paid a significant price, a deep gash marred his chest, a shocking sight to behold.
“Damn it, this guy is too cunning.”
“Hmph, let’s increase our output! I refuse to believe he can keep this up.”
Leng Yan was indeed struggling hard. “Xuelan, listen to my command; ten seconds from now, directly kill the woman in the center.”
“Understood.” Xuelan tightened her grip on her sword; it was finally her turn to strike.
Ten seconds had never felt so long. “Xuelan, go!”
Xuelan attacked fiercely, catching everyone off-guard. Zhong Yong’s wife had no time to defend and was pierced through the shoulder by her sword. Now was the moment; Leng Yan would not let this golden opportunity slip away.
“Xin Xue, charge in! Do whatever it takes to kill them!”
Xin Xue’s appearance shocked the enemies once again, and Leng Yan seized the moment, determined to eliminate the foe in the shortest time possible.
His first target was the injured Ji Long. Sensing Leng Yan’s approach, Ji Long felt his battle intent evaporate.
“Die for me!” Leng Yan shouted like a deadly assassin, unleashing the power of the Immortal-Slaying Sword once more. Ji Long desperately widened his eyes, trying to understand what was happening, but ultimately could only mouth in powerless disbelief.
“Ji Long!” Guo Zheng, entrapped by Xin Xue, cried out in anguish, “Damn it, Leng Yan, if I don’t kill you, I swear I won’t be human!”
“In that case, you can’t be allowed to live,” Leng Yan launched another strike, but unexpectedly, Guo Zheng made the decisive choice to flee.
“We can’t waste any more time; let’s go!” Zhong Yong and his wife saw the situation turning dire and attempted to escape, but Xin Xue, along with Xuelan, closed off their retreat.
“Master Leng Yan, I’m blind to the truth! I’ve been forced by them; please, spare me!” Jin Kuang suddenly knelt on the ground, bowing his head in desperation, shocking everyone with his unexpected display.
“What a spineless coward,” Zhong Yong and his wife could hardly watch this display.
But just then, Jin Kuang abruptly attacked Zhong Yong and his wife, catching them off-guard. “Master Leng Yan, let me serve you by getting rid of them!”
Leng Yan found their infighting quite entertaining, but then he noticed Jin Kuang trying to escape.
“Haha!” Jin Kuang laughed maniacally, “Leng Yan, I’ve already obtained what I wanted. The humiliation you’ve brought upon me will be repaid tenfold in the future!”
Now, only Zhong Yong and his wife were left, looking like lambs to the slaughter, their eyes filled with despair.
“Master Leng Yan, please spare my wife! I’ll do anything; I’ll be your servant!” Zhong Yong pleaded.
“Is that so? Then first, kneel and kowtow until I’m satisfied.”
“No! Ah, Leng Yan, one day I will feast on your flesh and drink your blood!”
“Is that so?” Leng Yan’s eyes darkened with murderous intent. “Too bad you’ll never get the chance.”
Before he could act personally, Xuelan and Xin Xue had already launched their assault, with Xuelan driving her sword deep into Zhong Yong’s heart.
“Ahhh! Leng Yan, I curse you to an untimely death!” Zhong Yong gasped as he lunged forward.
“Not good! Fall back; he’s going to self-destruct!”
And just like that, Zhong Yong and his wife ended their lives with a tragic finale, leaving behind a sense of sorrow.
“Leng Yan, are you okay?”
“Don’t worry, I’m fine. You all protect me; I need to comprehend the sword technique inscribed on this stone gate,” Leng Yan said, appearing to enter a state of profound focus. A brilliant sword descended from the heavens, radiating with incredible speed and light.
With a single sword strike coming from the west, it felt as if an immortal had descended from the sky. He truly embodied the unity of man and sword, mastering an unparalleled sword technique.
Leng Yan became completely absorbed in this experience, his Immortal-Slaying Sword resonating with his spiritual mind, becoming one with him.
However, things did not go as he wished. The sounds of a group of demonic beasts broke the tranquility of Leng Yan’s contemplation.
“Wow, what beautiful women! Today is my lucky day,” the leader, the young master of the Tiger Roar Sect, exclaimed, striding confidently forward, flanked by the Four Tiger Kings and their small army, boasting and posturing.
Without even looking their way, Leng Yan simply snorted, “Kill him. Tear his body to pieces, and capture those two women for me. I want to enjoy them thoroughly.”
More than twenty hybrid beast-humans launched themselves at Leng Yan, exuding a fierce and menacing aura.
“Leng Yan, be careful!”
Undeterred, Leng Yan walked forward step by step; the ones before him had already made it onto his death list.
He slowly extended a hand, pressing forward. A giant hand descended from the Void, covering a radius of ten miles.
Crack! Cries of anguish filled the air as the Tiger Roar army was instantly reduced to nothing but a powerless crowd.
The Four Tiger Kings roared in anger. “Damn you, you insolent fool! I will tear you apart!”
“Is that so? You’re just a little cub that hasn’t even grown its fur yet.”
One had to admit, Leng Yan’s words were as sharp as his sword; his insults cut deeper than any physical harm, infuriating his enemies.
One of the Tiger Kings charged fiercely forward, thinking that killing Leng Yan would be a quick feat.
In his furious, overconfident rush, a sword appeared out of nowhere in the sky, descending swiftly, sealing his throat, and just like that, the formidable Tiger King met his end.
“Third Brother!” Second Brother cried out in anguish, “You little brat, I’ll make sure you suffer!”
As he took a step forward in rage, First Brother quickly called out, “Second Brother, be careful!” But it was too late. Another sword fell from the heavens, cleaving Second Brother in two, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Throughout the entire encounter, no one had seen how Leng Yan had drawn his sword.
“Is Master really that powerful?”
“Of course!” Xuelan felt a surge of pride; after all, he was the man she had chosen.
“Who are you? Why don’t you come out and face me? I am the second young master of the Tiger Roar Sect!”
The strange sword technique and gruesome deaths had instilled a sense of fear in the two remaining Tiger Kings and the second young master.
“The one who will kill you,” Leng Yan replied, moving with incredible speed. The faces of the two Tiger Kings changed dramatically. “Young Master, run!”
“It’s too late,” Leng Yan said casually; for him, killing them was as simple as a single sword strike.
“What are you planning? I’m the young master of the Tiger Roar Sect! If you kill me, the sect will never let you get away with it.”
“Is that so?”
Before Leng Yan could even finish speaking, Xuelan thrust her sword forward. “What if we kill you?”
“And you? Will you choose to take your own lives or be killed?”
“A soldier can be killed but should never be insulted. If we are to die, we will do so with honor.”
“In that case, I’ll grant you a dignified way to die,” Leng Yan said, adjusting his grip on the sword, preparing to end this meaningless battle.
