Master of Heaven and Earth - Chapter 104 - "Noble Person"
Leng Yan was now at the center of the space storm, and there was no time left to escape. The Azure Dragon was being cut apart by the storm like a blade and was on the verge of dissipating. Leng Yan dared not wait any longer; he ignited the primordial spirit elixir and leaped into the Immortal Land.
The storm had already destroyed the surrounding peaks, and even the deep pond had become part of a black hole. The teleportation formation had also declared its destruction!
Upon entering the Immortal Land, the Azure Dragon shattered with a loud bang, and the dust formed from the Immortal Land was sucked into the black hole by the storm!
Inside the Immortal Land, Leng Yan felt the intense collision between the Immortal Land and the storm. At this moment, he could only place his hopes on the Immortal Land; as long as it remained intact, then he would be “temporarily” safe.
The feeling of tremor grew stronger, and Leng Yan’s heart raced. He didn’t know how long it had been; he had burnt through hundreds of thousands of primordial spirit elixirs.
Finally, the Immortal Land began to stabilize, showing that it had finally weathered the storm. This was tremendous news for Leng Yan; surviving the space storm meant he was still alive.
As his spiritual awareness spread out, he saw twinkling starlight. Leng Yan smiled with joy, “I finally made it through the space storm. Once I’m in the starry sky, I can fly out on my sword, but there are many dangers in the starry sky, so I need to be extra careful.”
The moon essence wheel surrounded him as Leng Yan took out the spatial shuttle, infusing it with essence power, and a light curtain rose.
This spatial shuttle was ideally designed for flight in the starry sky. With a thought, Leng Yan stepped onto the shuttle, leaving the Immortal Land behind.
As he put away the Immortal Land, Leng Yan looked around. The distant planets appeared to be within arm’s reach, but he knew that with his current strength, it would likely take him several years to fly there!
He sighed; despite all his calculations, he hadn’t expected to nearly fall into Chen Hai’s hands. Standing on the spatial shuttle, he rushed toward the distance.
All the way, Leng Yan was extremely cautious. In the starry sky, meteors occasionally rushed by; these meteors traveled at high speeds and could unleash power comparable to magical techniques from the unification realm. Fortunately, they were not too densely packed. If they were like a meteor shower, Leng Yan would probably be the first cultivator to be smashed to death by meteors!
Just as he spoke, a meteor came roaring in. Leng Yan had already noticed it; he suddenly swung his fist and shattered the meteor into smaller fragments that scattered outward!
“If I keep going like this, it might really take years to reach the next planet. Moreover, with my current cultivation level, I probably won’t be able to cross the barrier wind outside the planet!” Leng Yan frowned at the thought.
In the starry sky, there was no day or night, and Leng Yan had no idea how long he had been flying. It felt as if he had never moved at all because the scenery around him had not changed!
After flying aimlessly for what felt like an eternity, Leng Yan was about to become numb. Suddenly, a rainbow light was rapidly approaching from the front. Leng Yan was certain that this was a cultivator.
Finally seeing another person filled Leng Yan with great joy, but he did not lose his rational thinking and rush to intercept the individual. Anyone capable of walking in the starry sky, besides him, must have a cultivation level that exceeded the great tribulation of wind and fire.
If the other person turned out to be a demon cultivator and attacked him indiscriminately, it would spell trouble!
He quickly burned a primordial spirit elixir and entered the Immortal Land. The person was moving quickly, and before long, they were right in front of him. Upon arriving at the location where Leng Yan was, the individual looked around, puzzled, and muttered, “Strange, I clearly saw the light of a magical treasure here; how did it disappear so suddenly?”
Leng Yan naturally heard this but had no time to ponder; he hurriedly landed on top of the person’s hair bun.
The individual checked again but still found nothing, so he shook his head, thinking he must have misinterpreted it. He activated his shuttle and instantly moved a hundred miles away.
Seeing that this person had let their guard down, Leng Yan carefully observed their appearance. The person was dressed in a white robe adorned with a golden character “Cloud” embroidered on the sleeves. They had a handsome face, with an aura of heroism between their brows. Their eyes seemed shrouded in mist, making it hard to read their emotions.
Suddenly, the individual stopped, their expression filled with vigilance as they looked around. Leng Yan quickly withdrew his spiritual awareness; it appeared that he had been detected. He couldn’t help but sigh; indeed, those within the realm of “heaven and earth dharma form” were truly formidable.
Leng Yan quickly withdrew his spiritual awareness and was not detected by the person; however, he broke into a cold sweat. He could not let this “noble person” notice him, or he might not be able to leave the starry sky for a long time!
“Who is spying on me, Yunting? You might as well come out and let yourself be known!” Yunting proclaimed, clasping his hands together and smiling towards the starry sky.
The only response was the sound of howling winds; there was no answer. After waiting for a moment, the suspicion in Yunting’s eyes deepened, and his expression grew dark. He muttered to himself, “What’s going on? First, the glow of the magical treasure disappears, and now someone is watching me in secret!”
“Hmph! If I find out who you are…,” Yunting snorted coldly. With that, the light of his shuttle erupted, and in an instant, he vanished from sight.
Having learned from his previous lesson, Leng Yan did not dare to release his spiritual awareness again. He was sure that Yunting was on high alert, so he decided to cultivate within the Immortal Land instead!
…
Approximately three days later, Leng Yan was able to see a planet through the Immortal Land’s projection. This planet was a luminous white, with landmasses resembling white clouds. Surrounding the planet was a layer of barrier wind, which was actually the space storm!
Seeing this planet, Yunting’s unease finally began to dissipate.
With a wave of his hand, he set up several layers of protection around himself. Only then did he form a technique and charge into the barrier wind.
“Bang! Bang…”
The barrier wind sliced against Yunting’s protective layers, producing a series of loud noises. But Yunting remained calm and composed within his protection; finally, he broke through the barrier wind and entered the cloud layer. He withdrew his protective barrier and sighed softly, “I’m finally home!”
Leng Yan had initially planned to catch a ride with Yunting, but fearing detection by the Elders of the sect, he quickly veered off to the side.
Yunting took a moment to reflect, smiled faintly, and then flew off into the distance.
Once Yunting was gone, Leng Yan emerged from the Immortal Land, stepping onto the Azure Sky Sword and descending toward the surface!
Upon arriving in this new place, the most crucial thing for Leng Yan was information. What kind of place was this? What sects were there? How far was it from Wugang Star? How could he find his way back? All these questions needed answers!
Leng Yan had already thought through these matters. If he wanted to gather this information, Red Leaf was the best choice. He could utilize the powers granted to him as an Honorary Elder to their full extent. However, finding Red Leaf would depend on his ability to ask for directions.
As he flew through the cloud layer, the scenery below opened up before him: blue skies, white clouds, green mountains, and clear waters. The landscape was far more beautiful than Wugang Star’s, and even the essence power in the air felt much denser.
Racing ahead, he finally spotted a man dressed in cloud-like garments. This man exuded an air of arrogance as he stood casually atop his flying sword, gliding through the air as if he were leisurely enjoying the view rather than rushing anywhere.
From the attire, Leng Yan could tell that this man belonged to the same sect as Yunting. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of connection to this sect.
With a sunny smile on his face, Leng Yan approached the man and said, “I have a question to ask. I wonder if you could assist me with it?”
Leng Yan displayed all the proper courtesies; however, the man, filled with arrogance and disdain in his eyes, responded coldly, “Which sect are you from? You see me, Yunzhen, and you don’t even bow? And you expect me to answer your questions? Are you tired of living?”
Leng Yan was taken aback by this response! A mere cultivator at the Heavenly Realm behaving so outrageously. Stunned for a moment, he sneered, “I don’t need to tell you which sect I belong to, but your arrogance is truly misguided. Are you asking for a death wish?”
“Presumptuous! How dare you speak to me like that! Which sect are you from? Do you believe I won’t make sure your sect suffers for this insolence?” Yunzhen was furious. In his eyes, the aura Leng Yan radiated clearly indicated that he was a cultivator of the Primordial Qi Realm, and in Yuntian Star, nobody dared speak this way to someone from Yuntian Sect-especially considering Yunzhen’s impressive background!
“Heh… you can try to kill me if you think you can!” Leng Yan’s killing intent had already been ignited.
“Seeking death!”
Yunzhen shouted, and suddenly a hazy mist enveloped him. A massive palm imprint made of white clouds pressed down toward Leng Yan.
Leng Yan snorted coldly. The Azure Sky Sword accelerated instantly, and as the palm imprint drew near, he swung his fist with all his strength!
A golden glow enveloped Leng Yan’s fist as he poured all his energy into the attack. The palm imprint of white clouds was right in front of him when Leng Yan let out a roar and pushed his strength to the extreme.
“Break!”
His fist connected with the palm imprint, resulting in a loud explosion. The massive white cloud imprint shattered, while Leng Yan’s momentum remained unyielding as he continued to charge forward!
Yunzhen was shocked as his attack was obliterated by Leng Yan’s punch. Realizing the extraordinary strength of the man before him, a mix of surprise and fear filled his eyes. He shouted loudly, “I am a disciple of Yuntian Sect! You dare to kill me!”
Leng Yan sensed that Yunzhen seemed to have some backing to act so arrogantly, but he was not a person to shy away from trouble. So what if he killed him?
