Lord of the Demon Sect - Chapter 2 - The Curvaceous Beauty
The old hunter, seeing the situation was hopeless, stamped his foot and said, “Alas, I warned you with good intentions, but you chose not to believe me. Fine, I’m off to save myself!”
With that, he turned and ran toward the edge of the forest…
However, at that moment, a chilling laugh sounded from behind him, “Can you really escape from me, Zhang Fei?”
An iron claw suddenly flew out from behind, attached to a black rope, capturing the old hunter in one swift motion.
Soon after, more iron claws whizzed through the air, capturing the other hunters who were attempting to flee the woods. Five or six of them tumbled to the ground in the clearing within the forest.
At this point, a young, twenty-something man with a fleshy face, broad features, and wearing a blue straight-collared robe, appeared in front of the hunters. He looked vicious as he approached, holding five or six ropes, each ending in an iron claw deeply embedded in the hunters’ backs. They grimaced in pain and immediately fell to their knees, begging for mercy as Zhang Fei approached.
“Hmph! You dared to mistake the skeleton horse I crafted for horse bones to use as fertilizer? You’ve made me lose face in front of my senior sister. How could I not make an example of you? Ha, my hundred souls banner just happens to need a few more souls; you’ll be perfect for it!” Zhang Fei chuckled wickedly.
The hunters, hearing that they not only faced death but would have their souls extracted for the banner, were scared out of their wits and pleaded even more desperately.
Zhang Fei began muttering incantations under his breath, and a small black banner flew out from his storage bag, rapidly expanding to become a large banner, about ten feet high, with an eerie skull depicted on it. Ghostly faces could be seen faintly within the banner, emitting haunting cries.
As soon as Zhang Fei unfurled the hundred souls banner, Jiang Chen felt a heavy, sinister aura filled with resentment, sending chills down his spine.
In contrast, Zhang Fei’s face was full of excitement. The stronger the malevolence, the more powerful the hundred souls banner.
At this moment, the skull within the banner emitted a large cloud of black mist from its hollow eye sockets, enveloping the pitiful hunters.
Zhang Fei raised the black banner high, beginning his ritual to collect the hunters’ souls and strengthen the hundred souls banner…
Even from over thirty feet away, Jiang Chen could sense the killing intent and evil radiating from Zhang Fei. It dawned on him why the hunters referred to Zhang Fei as a devil and feared him so much.
Although he was also destined to join the Demon Sect, he still felt some reluctance. Moreover, judging by Zhang Fei’s demeanor, he seemed to be a person with a ruthless and cunning nature.
These hunters were clearly just ordinary mortals, yet he planned to harvest their souls for the refinement of the Hundred Souls Banner. Although he had not yet acted against himself, after harvesting the souls of these hunters, he feared that his own fate would be sealed. It seemed that he needed to find a way to escape.
However, just as Jiang Chen had this thought, he had only taken one step when he saw Zhang Fei glance at him. Then, a metal claw silently flew towards him. Although it did not grab him like it did the hunters, it swiftly circled around him numerous times, binding him tightly.
Jiang Chen tried to struggle, but the rope seemed to have a mind of its own and he could not break free. Left with no other choice, he temporarily abandoned the idea and thought of another plan to escape.
At this moment, the malevolence in Zhang Fei’s eyes intensified. From the Hundred Souls Banner, faint sounds of ghostly wails and ghastly howls could be heard, causing the hunters to turn pale with fear, their bodies trembling, unable to even beg for mercy.
Several dark green flames drifted from the banner and entered the bodies of the hunters. In the midst of the dark mist, Zhang Fei’s face could be vaguely seen, his expression becoming increasingly ferocious and terrifying. His right hand gripped the banner, constantly infusing it with spiritual power.
At first, Jiang Chen could see the hunters struggling, their faces contorted in pain. However, after a moment, they were motionless.
Then, led by the dark green ghost fire, several pale yellow orbs of light were pulled from the bodies of the hunters and flew towards the Hundred Souls Banner.
These pale yellow orbs were the souls of the hunters. Although they struggled to escape, they were completely unable to break free from the enveloping ghost fire.
Zhang Fei snorted coldly, waved the small banner in his hand to increase the suction, and suddenly, the sinister skull on the banner’s surface grew incredibly malevolent, opening its ghastly mouth wide and violently sucking in the ghost fire along with the souls of the hunters…
The Hundred Souls Banner emitted a faint green light, appearing to have grown slightly larger than before, while a trace of red light emanated from Zhang Fei’s face, clearly very pleased.
Once the hundred souls banner had completely absorbed and digested the souls of those hunters, Zhang Fei turned to face Jiang Chen, his beady eyes sparkling with delight…
A chill ran down Jiang Chen’s spine as he remembered the gruesome fate of the hunters before him. He had no desire to become a soul within the hundred souls banner. Just as he was about to speak, a wave of fragrant air swept through, and a stunning woman in a pink gauze dress appeared before the two of them.
Jiang Chen focused his gaze and saw that she looked to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old. With a heart-shaped face, cherry-red lips, fair skin, and a curvy yet shapely figure, she was undeniably beautiful. Her body had the perfect balance of curves-accentuating the areas that should be slim and enhancing those that should be full.
She wore a low-cut pink gauze dress that was exceptionally short, leaving Jiang Chen wondering if she had accidentally chosen the wrong outfit. The dress revealed her alluring shoulders and cleavage, while her smooth, fair thighs were also on display. Her captivating eyes locked onto him, causing Jiang Chen’s heart to race. After all, he was just a seventeen-year-old who had recently graduated high school, standing on the brink of adulthood with all the youthful passion that came with it.
The enchanting woman abruptly pulled Jiang Chen closer, bringing her charming face within just an inch of his. She touched his face with her delicate hand, lifted his chin, and with a delighted chuckle said, “Not bad! The young man is quite handsome, isn’t he? Why are you wearing such strange clothes and sporting such an odd hairstyle? Where are you from? Are you interested in having a delightful time with me?”
Smelling the strong fragrance emanating from the beautiful and sensual woman, looking at her alluring body, and hearing her soft, enticing voice, Jiang Chen inevitably had a normal male reaction.
Since they were so close, almost touching, the woman naturally felt the change in Jiang Chen’s body. She immediately laughed even more, her laughter like the rustling of flowers.
