Lord of the Demon Sect - Chapter 13 - Supreme Beauty Jiangshi Servant
The female Jiangshi seemed to sense that something was about to happen. Inside the bag, she wailed and thrashed about, attempting to escape from the Jiangshi raising bag.
However, since the raising bag was created as a spiritual artifact to nurture the Jiangshi, it was not so easy for her to break free. Despite her incessant squealing, she was ultimately helpless.
At that moment, Jiang Chen began to recite the incantations according to the records of the Jiangshi control technique, continuously channeling his spiritual power into the Jiangshi Bag.
The female Jiangshi immediately felt an overwhelming spiritual pressure bearing down on her, giving her the sensation of a mountain crushing her.
Fearful, she trembled and curled up inside the bag, not daring to make a move.
Jiang Chen then extended his spiritual sense into the body of the female Jiangshi. This made her resistant; she began to struggle again, trying to resist the intrusion of his spiritual sense.
With a cold huff, Jiang Chen intensified the pressure of his spiritual power. After struggling for a bit, the female Jiangshi finally succumbed, almost on the verge of dying. After about half an hour, she stopped resisting and allowed Jiang Chen to inject his spiritual sense into her.
Being his first attempt at sacrifice refinement, Jiang Chen was unfamiliar with the process, having to refer to the jade slip as he fumbled through the steps. After an hour, he finally succeeded in penetrating the spiritual sense of the female jiangshi.
Now, whatever Jiang Chen thought of, the female jiangshi would immediately sense it. Any command he gave, she would follow without resistance.
He only needed to complete the final step: feeding her raw meat and simultaneously dripping essence blood into the jiangshi’s soul for a blood sacrifice. This would truly make her his Jiangshi servant. At this point, he would have complete control over her life and death. With a mere thought, she could die instantly. Moreover, if he perished, she would also die immediately. Even if the Jiangshi servant attained a level higher than her master in the future, this master-servant bond could never be broken.
Jiang Chen then released her, fully confident she wouldn’t flee or attack him, despite not yet being a full-fledged Jiangshi servant.
However, the prolonged suppression with spiritual power left the female jiangshi appearing rather feeble, with a pale complexion.
Jiang Chen finally took a closer look at her features and noticed she was quite beautiful. With large, expressive eyes, a delicate oval face, fair skin, a refined nose, and cherry-red lips absent of the usual jiangshi spots, she must have been a striking beauty in life. Yet, it was a mystery why she had died in Shadow Soul Mountain.
“Come here!” Jiang Chen waved to her.
The female Jiangshi immediately walked over to Jiang Chen’s side and stood still.
Jiang Chen nodded in satisfaction and began the final step of the blood sacrifice. Pointing to Du Wei’s body on the ground, he said, “This is your welcoming gift!”
The female Jiangshi joyfully squeaked and then pounced on the corpse, starting to gnaw at the flesh and blood.
At this point, Jiang Chen drew his sword and cut his fingertip. Drops of fresh blood seeped out.
He placed his finger on top of the female Jiangshi’s head, injecting the blood into her Baihui acupoint1, entering her brain, then flowing through her meridians throughout her body. As his spiritual sense directed inside the female Jiangshi’s body, his own blood merged with her body without any resistance or objection…
The entire blood sacrifice process lasted over three hours. It was only at dawn that it finally ended.
After losing a significant amount of blood, Jiang Chen’s complexion also began to pale, almost matching the female Jiangshi’s.
However, the female Jiangshi, having consumed Du Wei’s corpse, now had a much stronger aura than before. Previously, she was just a strengthless Jiangshi, at best only fast and somewhat clever.
Now, Jiang Chen’s spiritual sense detected that she had reached the first layer of qi refinement, which meant her strength was almost equal to his own.
It seems that the flesh of a cultivator really is a great nourishment for a Jiangshi, Jiang Chen thought to himself.
As the blood continued to flow, Jiang Chen felt a bit anemic, his head starting to cloud. Fortunately, after a moment, the female Jiangshi finally stopped drawing blood. Her gaze towards Jiang Chen now contained a mix of reverence and obedience.
Jiang Chen breathed a sigh of relief, silently satisfied that the blood sacrifice was complete. He now had an assistant.
He immediately sat down cross-legged, swallowed a qi nourishing pill, and began his meditation to recover.
About two hours later, he had fully recovered, albeit regrettably, the lost blood was not replenished.
However, having been forewarned by Zhang Pang about what to expect, his storage bag was filled with food that could regenerate blood and vital energy.
Jiang Chen voraciously devoured all the food in his storage bag, finally feeling some restoration in his body.
Looking at the female Jiangshi standing gracefully beside him, almost like a living person, Jiang Chen suddenly thought that having such a Jiangshi as a servant was quite a sight.
“You seem to lack a name, I shall call you Xiao Qian1!” Jiang Chen decided after a moment. This name was inspired by a movie from his previous life, “A Chinese Ghost Story2.”
Now that the female Jiangshi was his servant, she simply nodded in agreement to anything he said.
After communicating with Xiao Qian through spiritual sense for a while, Jiang Chen was rather disappointed.
“Alas, it seems her spiritual awareness hasn’t evolved to the point where she can discuss matters with me; she can only understand simple commands and report basic information. There’s no trace of memories from her past life either. I wonder if her increased cultivation level will allow for deeper communication in the future,” Jiang Chen mused to himself.
Having regained his vital energy, Jiang Chen then placed Xiao Qian into the Jiangshi raising bag and returned to the Ghostly Slaughter Sect. Now possessing a few spirit stones, he was no longer penniless and could start his journey in alchemy.
