I Really Have X-ray Superpower - Chapter 3 - You're Sick
Ye Tian’s grandmother was watching TV when he got home.
“Tian, you finished your exams and didn’t go out to play? You’re back so early?” Ye Tian’s grandmother said with a kind smile.
“Grandma, there’s nothing much to do outside. I’ll stay home and keep you company. If I get into a university far from home, I won’t be able to see you every day.”
To be honest, he wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving his grandmother alone at home if he went to university.
“Grandma’s not a child. Study when you should study, and play when you should play. Don’t become a bookworm,” Grandma’s smile was so kind in Ye Tian’s eyes.
“Got it, Grandma.” Ye Tian nodded, preparing to go back to his room and plan his future. At least he didn’t have to worry about college tuition.
His phone rang as soon as he entered his room.
“Hey, silly, class reunion tonight, hurry up and come,” a sweet girl’s voice came from the other end of the phone.
A smile appeared on Ye Tian’s lips when he heard her voice. “Xiaoyue, where are you? I’ll be right there.”
Nie Xiaoyue was the class beauty, and her grades were top-notch. He, himself, was somewhere in the middle.
He and Nie Xiaoyue were good friends. Last time, she was bullied and cornered in an alley outside the school, and he happened to see it and saved her. That’s why their relationship became so good.
“Huangcheng KTV, come quickly.”
“Okay.”
He hung up the phone, changed his clothes, and went to the living room.
Seeing this, his grandmother smiled and said, “Tian, going out?”
“Yeah, class reunion tonight. I might be back late, Grandma. You go to bed first, don’t wait up for me.”
“Don’t stay out too late.”
“Got it, Grandma.”
Ye Tian waved goodbye and left home.
He had two thousand yuan in his pocket, just in case.
Hailing a taxi, Ye Tian headed straight to Huangcheng KTV.
After getting out of the car, Ye Tian saw two other classmates buying cigarettes at a store downstairs.
“Li Ao, where are they?” Ye Tian shouted to one of them.
Li Ao turned around and, seeing it was Ye Tian, replied, “Tian-Ge1, they’re in room 2158.”
Ye Tian nodded and then went upstairs.
At the door of the private room, Ye Tian saw more than a dozen classmates inside. Some were drinking, some were singing, and a few attractive female classmates were dancing.
As he pushed the door open, everyone’s eyes turned to Ye Tian.
“Well, look who’s here-our Tian-Ge! Come, come, have a couple of drinks with us!”
The one speaking was Zhang Liang, the class’s sports representative. He was a sturdy guy, and as he approached, he handed Ye Tian two bottles of alcohol.
“You haven’t changed a bit, still love drinking, huh?” Ye Tian chuckled and took the bottles from him.
After the two downed a bottle each, they returned to their seats.
Nie Xiaoyue glanced over at Ye Tian, her cheeks flushed red. It seemed she had already drunk quite a bit. Her unfocused gaze followed her wobbly steps as she got up and walked over to Ye Tian.
“Silly, tonight we won’t leave until we’re drunk together. Hic…” Nie Xiaoyue hiccupped, the smell of alcohol wafting from her mouth.
“Let’s go then. I’ve never backed down from a drink.” Ye Tian didn’t hesitate; he picked up a bottle and finished it in one go.
Seeing Ye Tian’s boldness, the other classmates started cheering him on.
“Tian-Ge, what a drinker!”
“That’s our Tian-Ge!”
Flattery and cheers filled the room, adding to the lively mood.
Nie Xiaoyue stared blankly at Ye Tian. There was something indescribable in her gaze. After a moment, as if she had gathered up her courage, she shot Ye Tian a glance, signaling him to follow her outside. Without waiting for his response, she exited the private room first. Ye Tian was puzzled, but after a brief thought, he decided to get up and follow her.
In the dimly lit hallway outside the private room, Nie Xiaoyue looked at Ye Tian with a hint of suggestiveness. It seemed like she had something to say. The blush on her cheeks, whether from hormones or alcohol, made her appear irresistibly charming. Ye Tian had a vague idea of what this was about.
Just as Nie Xiaoyue was about to speak, Ye Tian suddenly pointed at her chest and said, “Are you sick?”
Nie Xiaoyue froze, her expression shifting to one of anger and hurt as tears began to well up in her eyes. She felt deeply wronged. She thought, Even if you want to reject me, do you have to say something so hurtful?
Before the tears could spill over, she turned and ran off. She stopped at a corner, crouched down, hugged her knees, and finally couldn’t hold back her sobs.
