I Really Have X-ray Superpower - Chapter 11 - Showing His Mettle
Ye Tian inwardly cursed his luck. Relying on a certain precognitive ability, he managed to dodge the attacks of several thugs.
But they were simply too numerous. Despite Ye Tian’s agile movements, his mortal flesh couldn’t escape a swift kick from behind by some thugs.
Ye Tian lost his balance and suddenly fell to the ground. The thugs showed no mercy, raining down punches and kicks upon him.
For a moment, Ye Tian could only raise his hands to cover his vital parts as the thugs’ blows fell on him like rain, making a series of “crackling” sounds.
Ye Tian felt an excruciating pain, his consciousness blurring from the beating.
“Young man, that’s what you get for being cocky!” At this moment, Long-Ge saw Ye Tian being punished and showed a pleased expression.
After a lengthy beating, the punches finally stopped. By then, Ye Tian was covered in dust and had endured countless hits, his body almost entirely bruised.
Long-Ge walked over, grabbed Ye Tian by the body, and lifted him up; “Still feeling arrogant now, young man? Say ‘Long-Ge, I was wrong,’ and maybe I’ll be in a good enough mood to let you go!”
Ye Tian weakly smiled. Although he couldn’t overcome the group, he had his pride. How could he possibly bow down to Long-Ge?
“Long-Ge, huh? Kill me today if you can, otherwise I swear I’ll have my revenge!” Ye Tian spat out a mouthful of blood at Long-Ge, splattering his face.
Angered, Long-Ge’s heart surged, but seeing Ye Tian’s gaze, an inexplicable fear crept up on him.
It was a look unlike any ordinary person’s, making Long-Ge feel as if he was being targeted by some large, fearsome creature, instilling a sense of dread in him.
“Damn it, still acting tough, young man!” Long-Ge slapped Ye Tian across the face, blood splattering wildly. Long-Ge looked ferocious, but only he knew it was a way to mask his inner unease.
Ye Tian simply smiled faintly. The slap from Long-Ge was heavy, covering his face in blood, making him appear fierce and daunting.
Suddenly, Long-Ge felt a chill in his heart and before he could react, Ye Tian struck back at him.
“How is this possible? How can he still have the strength to fight back?” Long-Ge thought, stunned by the force of the punch.
However, there was no time left for Long-Ge to think, as Ye Tian’s fist struck his face again.
This punch, unlike the previous ones, could not simply be described as heavy. It felt as if a speeding truck had smashed into him, the force of the impact indescribable!
With a loud “smack,” Long-Ge’s entire body flew into the air, crashing heavily against the back wall.
This sudden turn of events stunned everyone, including Ye Tian himself.
Just moments before, a rebellious thought had filled Ye Tian’s mind, growing stronger rapidly. He suddenly felt as if something had burst forth in his brain, and an unstoppable force surged through his body.
Simultaneously, the jade pendant on his chest emitted a scorching aura.
It was this power that emboldened Ye Tian to continue his counterattack, and the reality proved that this was no mere illusion.
“Damn, this young man is spooky. How can Long-Ge, such a big guy, be sent flying by him?” one thug exclaimed, his eyes widening at the scene that defied all logic.
The other thugs were speechless. Ye Tian’s punch not only sent Long-Ge flying but also knocked him out cold-a feat not just anyone could achieve.
“Shit, I knew there was something off about this kid from the beginning. He seemed like an ordinary person, but he dodged several of our punches. That’s not normal,” another thug commented.
For no apparent reason, the thugs shivered together, although the weather was not cold. Could this young man be harboring something sinister?
“We shouldn’t be fooled by him. Let’s all go at him together; he’s just one person. We had him down earlier; why not now?” In the suddenly quiet and tense atmosphere, one thug couldn’t bear it and charged at Ye Tian.
It wasn’t that these men lacked mental strength; it was that Ye Tian, with blood all over his face, looked as ferocious as a demon.
This action was like throwing a stone into a calm lake; it spurred everyone into action, and they all lunged at Ye Tian.
Ye Tian sneered coldly, his body suddenly accelerating to almost a blur to the ordinary eye.
His fist, striking faster than the thug could react, hit first.
“Smack!”
The thug’s body flew backward, just like Long-Ge had moments before.
This event stunned all the attacking thugs. If one occurrence was a coincidence, what about the second time?
“This… this young man is cursed, maybe… should we back off?” one thug said, his voice trembling more firmly than before.
Ye Tian was clearly just an ordinary young man, and being knocked down by the crowd just proved that. However, the more this was the case, the more abnormal his current state seemed to be.
A sense of fear began to spread among a group of thugs.
It was unclear who ran first, but as soon as one person started running away, all the thugs began to flee.
In no time, all the thugs had disappeared without a trace, leaving only the thug and Long-Ge who had just been knocked down by Ye Tian.
It wasn’t that Ye Tian didn’t want to chase them; he knew his own condition. Although he had been very powerful just moments ago, his body had already reached its limit.
As people left, Ye Tian finally breathed a sigh of relief, but at that moment, a heavy sense of weakness suddenly swept over him, enveloping his entire body.
He lifted his hands, the seemingly invincible power from moments ago had disappeared completely.
“What just happened?”
Ye Tian speculated that it might have something to do with the jade pendant he was wearing. Moreover, when that power surged, he distinctly felt as if something in his mind had exploded.
Before he could guess any further, he felt a wave of dizziness in his brain, and then everything went black.
…
After an unknown amount of time, Ye Tian finally woke up slowly.
He barely moved his body and felt a sharp pain all over.
Then he remembered-he seemed to have been beaten by Long-Ge. That’s right, it was Hua Zaisheng who had arranged for someone to beat him.
Once he thought of this, a wave of hatred surged in his heart. Hua Zaisheng, a man who was a doctor, had no medical ethics whatsoever. Ye Tian swore to get his revenge.
At the same time, he was also puzzled about where he was now.
He noticed he was lying on a bed, but it was not a hospital bed; it was a large bed.
The plush toys around and the faint scent in the room gave Ye Tian a faint premonition that he was in a girl’s bedroom.
