After making his selection, as the words fell, the surroundings began to distort. Unlike before, he didn’t exit immediately. In an instant, Chen Fei’s consciousness returned to his body inside the game pod. He quickly pushed it open and stepped out, only to find two skills imprinted in his mind: ‘Invisibility’ and ‘Shadow Strike’!

“Don’t worry, didn’t you want to come along? I just brought you here. This is where I grew up,” Chen Fei explained, glancing at the concealment cloak before putting it on. Hmm, not bad. Qing looked at Chen Fei, then leaped up with all her might, landing on his head.

“Mama, I’m scared…” Chen Fei sighed and held Qing in his arms, introducing her to this world. “This is a light bulb… this is a refrigerator… this is…”

He went through the items in the room one by one. Qing gradually calmed down and became curious about everything. Compared to the game world, this place was like paradise! Especially after seeing all the delicious food in Chen Fei’s refrigerator. After downing a bottle of ice-cold Coca-Cola, Qing couldn’t help but exclaim.

“Mama, why don’t we just stay here? There’s so much delicious food and fun things to do!”

Qing was cradled in Chen Fei’s arms, her little eyes filled with excitement as they walked down the street. Her head turned left and right, her mouth opening repeatedly as if wanting to speak, but she remembered Chen Fei’s words and swallowed her thoughts.

Chen Fei brought Qing to the small restaurant where he used to dine with Lin Mumu. He ordered a few home-style dishes and began eating heartily. Qing was munching on a piece of meat Chen Fei had given her earlier.

Nearby, a few middle-aged men were discussing something. Chen Fei hadn’t intended to eavesdrop, but he overheard them talking about a psychiatric hospital.

“Man, Lin Psychiatric Hospital is really in a bad spot. A super killer went on a rampage inside, killing nearly twenty people in one day!”
