Exorcist Master - Chapter 79 - Sacred Mountain in Myanmar (Part XXXIII)
Chen Shaoxian threw the five thunder talisman and collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. Song Yumu quickly caught Chen Shaoxian.
The five thunder talisman flew far ahead and then fell to the ground with a thud, showing no reaction. Seeing this, Chen Shaoxian felt a jolt in his heart, and his first thought was, “Did something go wrong?”
At that moment, a bone claw grabbed the fallen five thunder talisman. With a flash of blue light, the bone claw turned to powder. The five thunder talisman then emitted a crackling sound like electricity, and the ground within a ten-meter radius released an earth-colored gas.
These gases quickly formed a large earth-colored cloud floating above the five thunder talisman. With a flash of blue light from the talisman, a blue current shot into the cloud, instantly scorching the talisman black.
As the current entered the cloud, everyone heard a rumbling sound, followed by a thick thunderbolt striking the ground beneath. As bolts of lightning continued one after another, smoke rose from the ground, accompanied by crackling sounds, and a buzzing noise reminiscent of high-voltage electricity came from the ground.
Within the cloud’s shrouded area, all bone claws were instantly turned into white powder, which, upon landing on the ground, rapidly turned to black ash. The ground cracked, emitting creaking sounds from the rifts.
The cloud then began to slowly move forward, leaving a charred trail behind. However, with each step forward, the cloud became smaller.
Everyone, including Chen Shaoxian, was dumbfounded, their mouths agape in shock. Thomas, astonished, said, “God.”
Song Yumu added, “This is freaking incredible.” Everyone nodded in agreement and looked at the already exhausted Chen Shaoxian.
The instigator, Chen Shaoxian, could no longer describe his feelings. He never expected such power from something recorded in the old man’s book, despite the high price. The impact was beyond words.
Thomas, excited, said, “Chen Shaoxian, I’ve seen many strange things, but you are truly amazing. I believe you are an angel sent by God to save us.”
Song Yumu asked, “Shaoxian, how did you do that?”
Hearing Song Yumu’s question, Chen Shaoxian took a sip of water and then explained, “I didn’t expect this either. The scene surprised me too. Initially, I thought something had gone wrong. But now I understand that the five thunder talisman I threw represents extreme Yang. If it weren’t for the bone claw inadvertently picking up the talisman, it wouldn’t have triggered the extreme Yang within it.”
“The bone claw that picked up the five thunder talisman represents extreme Yin. The moment the bone claw touched the talisman, it symbolized the union of Yin and Yang, just like the principle of rain and thunder. When positive and negative ions collide, they generate lightning.”
Chen Shaoxian sighed and continued, “That’s all I can think of. There are many things I don’t quite understand either. I’ll have to wait for my grandfather to come back to get a clear explanation.”
The others, though only partially understanding, grasped some of the principles.
“Can I take you as my teacher? I really want to learn this,” Thomas asked hopefully.
Chen Shaoxian shook his head and said, “Westerners are not suited to learn this.” Noticing Thomas’s disappointed expression, he added, “You have many excellent exotic techniques in the West too, like Hebrew necromancy. You could learn those.”
“I’ve seen the Hebrew necromancy you mentioned; it’s not as miraculous as yours,” Thomas replied, disappointed.
Hearing Thomas say this, Chen Shaoxian was quite surprised. In fact, Chen Shaoxian had never seen any exotic techniques like Western necromancy; he only heard about them from his grandfather and Liu Iron Mouth.
Seeing Chen Shaoxian looking at him in surprise, Thomas said, “In my Research Institute, there are many exorcists, but the exotic techniques they use aren’t as impressive.” Suddenly remembering something, Thomas quickly said, “Chen Shaoxian, you should join our Research Institute. With your skills, you’ll definitely shine there, and there are many beautiful women in my department. You’ll surely become an object of their admiration.”
“Wow, a beauty trap?” Chen Shaoxian “hmphed” and said, “Dear Thomas, I think I would be more of a research subject than an object of admiration.”
Thomas said awkwardly, “In the early stages, maybe so, but your skills would certainly have a place there. Please consider it.”
“Let’s talk about it when we get out alive,” Chen Shaoxian quickly interrupted Thomas. He then gestured for Song Yumu to help him walk forward but suddenly remembered something and turned to wave at Thomas.
Thomas rushed over.
Chen Shaoxian asked Thomas to lower his head. Though puzzled, Thomas complied. With a sly grin, Chen Shaoxian yanked a tuft of hair from Thomas’s head.
Thomas cried out in pain and, clutching his head, asked, “What are you doing?”
Without explaining, Chen Shaoxian balled up the hair, flicked his wrist, and tossed it forward with precision.
After watching the hair fall, Chen Shaoxian observed for a while, noting that it didn’t curl or burn. He then stood up, patted Thomas, who was still staring at him, and said, “Your hair quality is really good.”
Song Yumu understood and asked Chen Shaoxian, “Shaoxian, were you testing for any remaining currents on the ground?”
Chen Shaoxian gave a look that said “You really get me” to Song Yumu.
Thomas, frustrated, said, “Couldn’t you use your own?”
Chen Shaoxian chuckled, took off his hat, and showed Thomas. Seeing Chen’s closely cropped hair, Thomas was even more annoyed.
Song Yumu chuckled and whispered to Chen Shaoxian, “If there was any electricity, we would have been electrocuted by now.”
“Oh?” Chen Shaoxian scratched his head, thinking, “Oops, that was embarrassing.” He quickly turned to Thomas, who was glaring at him, and said, “I’m really sorry.”
