Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 91 - Narrow Escape from Assault
“Say that again, I dare you!” the bald man glared at Tang Jie, looking ready to strike. He thought to himself that the time must be about right by now; the boss probably had already stripped those two little sluts bare and was having his way with them.
Just as Tang Jie was about to make a move, he suddenly spotted someone exiting the bar. It was Wang Qianya. He glanced over but didn’t see Chen Shuran, which triggered a sinking feeling in his gut.
“Why are you out here? Didn’t I tell you to stay inside?” By the time Tang Jie had cleared his thoughts, Wang Qianya had already approached him. The bald man, hearing the conversation, turned around, paused for a moment, and then a lecherous smile spread across his face. “Perfect timing for you to come out, don’t just stay in there and be a bother. Come and join us for some fun.”
Caught in his excitement, the bald man inadvertently spilled the beans. Upon hearing this, Tang Jie realized something must have gone wrong with Chen Shuran inside. He couldn’t bother explaining to Wang Qianya and rushed towards the bar. Wang Qianya, who hadn’t quite caught what he said, saw him running toward the bar and quickly put two and two together.
“Stop him! Don’t let him mess up the boss’s fun!” commanded the bald man, and his cronies immediately moved to block Tang Jie. Tang Jie, still near the stunned Wang Qianya, shouted, “Quick, go inside and find Shuran!” He then kicked the man blocking his path.
By then, Wang Qianya fully understood the situation. Overcome with regret and not wasting another second, she darted into the bar like a shot, surprising the bald man with her speed. He tried to stop her but couldn’t react quickly enough, and she was already through the bar door.
The man Tang Jie had kicked flew several meters and lay motionless on the ground, not making a sound.
“Damn it, dare to hit my people? I’ll cripple you!” the bald man bellowed and charged at Tang Jie.
Tang Jie paid him no mind, his only thoughts were on resolving the mess quickly to save Chen Shuran. From what the bald man had revealed, he knew they had intentionally delayed him, and somebody inside must be harming Chen Shuran. With Wang Qianya also out, Tang Jie was furious with himself for not having prevented the situation. If something happened to Chen Shuran, not only would Chen Jiankai blame him, but he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself either.
Filled with urgency, Tang Jie didn’t have the patience to waste time with the bald man and his lackeys. After kicking the first man down, he unleashed simultaneous palm strikes, immediately taking down two more. This time, the two men didn’t fly away because Tang Jie had grabbed onto them. As the bald man charged forward, Tang Jie finally let go, sending the two careening straight into their leader, crashing into him with a loud thud.
As for the last one, seeing his companions being beaten to a pulp in mere seconds, he didn’t even dare to approach Tang Jie.
“You little punk, don’t you dare run! Face me one-on-one!” The bald man shoved the unconscious bodies off of him and, still mindful of Jiang Dong’s orders, yelled defiantly at Tang Jie, unwilling to back down.
“I’ll gladly grant your wish, but not right now,” Tang Jie said darkly, his tone laced with menace as his eyes flashed dangerously. Without so much as a glance back, he slipped into the bar.
Inside the bar, Wang Qianya, who had rushed in moments earlier, immediately realized that Chen Shuran was nowhere in sight. Her mind raced briefly before her eyes locked onto the staircase leading to the second floor. Without hesitation, she leaped toward it, paying no attention to the onlookers, and landed firmly at the top of the stairs. Once in the hallway, she was greeted by a row of private room doors. She took a deep breath, steeling herself.
Then: Bang! Bang! Bang!
“What the hell are you doing?!”
“Waiter! Waiter! Manager!”
“Help! Someone’s robbing us!”
The corridor erupted into chaos as screams and panic echoed from the rooms. Without pause, Wang Qianya kicked open one door after another, moving at a blistering pace of a second per room. The scenes inside were sordid and shocking, filled with men and women engaged in all manner of illicit activities. But Wang Qianya ignored the accusations and cries of outrage, focused solely on her goal.
When she kicked open the fourth door, her eyes finally landed on Chen Shuran-and the man standing beside her. A wave of cold fury swept over Wang Qianya, her gaze sharpening with an unprecedented ruthlessness. She stepped into the private room and, with a resolute motion, locked the door behind her.
Tang Jie’s shout from the doorway earlier still reverberated in her mind.
Inside the room, Jiang Dong had just helped Chen Shuran inside, barely getting her situated before his thoughts turned to more sinister actions. But his plans were interrupted before they began-by the sound of the door being slammed open. He whipped his head around to see Wang Qianya standing there, her expression icy, her eyes glinting with lethal intent.
Jiang Dong let out a slow, mocking laugh. “Well, would you look at that? I was just thinking it’s a pity we were one short. And here you are, coming to join the fun yourself. Couldn’t wait, huh? Come on, sweetheart, don’t be shy. Get over here.” His smile turned predatory, resembling that of a wolf eyeing its prey. Wang Qianya, petite and delicate, seemed to him like easy pickings.
He was having a bit of bad luck today. After assisting Chen Shuran upstairs, he found that all the private rooms were occupied. Seeing Chen Shuran dizzy and feverish, he became irritated and called the manager to clear out a group of people, finally freeing up a private room. Just as he was thinking about getting things done quickly, Wang Qianya walked in.
However, he was not angry at all; in fact, he was delighted. Seeing Wang Qianya lock the door, he felt sure she liked things a bit unusual and laughed to himself! It was unimaginable to think that such an innocent-looking girl could be so fiery in bed.
Wang Qianya looked at Jiang Dong, then carefully checked on Chen Shuran, who was unconscious on the bed. Noticing her clothes were intact, she breathed a sigh of relief, glad she wasn’t too late.
Thinking this, Wang Qianya gave Jiang Dong a captivating smile with a hint of seduction: “What did you give her?”
Seeing the smile on Wang Qianya’s face, Jiang Dong thought she was up for some excitement and grinned even wider, pulling out the remaining white pill from his pocket: “Babe, want to try it too? I bought this from abroad; it’s very potent. I’m afraid it might be too much for you.”
“That’s not certain, how would I know without trying?” Wang Qianya said, walking toward Jiang Dong with a laugh, taking the pill from his hand, her eyes catching the water glass nearby.
“Ha ha ha! I didn’t expect to meet such a character today. You really are something. Come on, I’ll help you take it.” Jiang Dong said, not worrying about Chen Shuran on the bed. He missed the deadly cold sneer in Wang Qianya’s eyes as he picked up the water glass and walked over to her.
“How do you take it, just drop it in and drink?” Wang Qianya pretended not to know, watching Jiang Dong approach with the water glass, lifting the white pill.
“Yes, yes, just drop it in and drink it all at once. I guarantee you’ll feel even more intense than her in five seconds! Ah ha ha ha!” Jiang Dong continued to leer, holding the water glass in front of Wang Qianya, watching her drop the white pill in. Wang Qianya took the glass from Jiang Dong’s hands, watching him lower his head slowly, bringing the cup to his lips. Jiang Dong opened his mouth, anticipating her to drink, drool nearly escaping him, but suddenly he heard a loud bang, and then it all went dark, knowing nothing more.
Wang Qianya stared at Jiang Dong lying unconscious on the floor. She walked over to check on Chen Shuran, who was still sound asleep. Although her face was flushed red like an apple, it seemed that no further harm had been done-clearly a result of being drugged.
A swell of guilt rose in her heart as she turned her gaze back to Jiang Dong, who had been knocked out cold by her earlier strike. Her mouth curled into a sly and sinister smile. Crouching beside him, she raised the glass laced with the Rohypnol and poured the contents directly into Jiang Dong’s mouth, making sure he downed all of it.
After ensuring Jiang Dong had swallowed the drugged water, Wang Qianya didn’t leave immediately. Instead, she walked calmly to the toilet, filled a large cup with cold water, and returned. Without hesitation, she splashed the entire cup onto Jiang Dong’s face. For a moment, she just stood there watching him. Then, she turned her attention back to Chen Shuran, gently lifting her up and carrying her toward the toilet. Using cold water, Wang Qianya rinsed Chen Shuran’s face until she slowly began to wake up.
Chen Shuran groggily looked around, her body trembling. Upon seeing Wang Qianya standing beside her, fragments of what had happened earlier began to return to her mind. As her senses became sharper, her first reaction was to quickly inspect her clothing. Thankfully, everything was intact. Overwhelmed, she collapsed onto Wang Qianya’s shoulder, her tears streaming uncontrollably.
“It’s okay now. Let’s go enjoy the show,” Wang Qianya reassured her gently. She supported Chen Shuran as they walked back into the private room. Jiang Dong was still lying unconscious on the floor. Gesturing for Chen Shuran to stand aside, Wang Qianya grabbed the bedsheet from the room, tore it into strips with remarkable efficiency, and then deftly tied up Jiang Dong’s hands and feet.
Chen Shuran stood frozen, uncertain about what Wang Qianya was up to. Her heart still pounded from the fear and anger lingering within her.
Half an hour later, a waiter passing by the private room in Passion Bar noticed two young women dressed in elegant dresses walking out of the room. Both had peculiar smiles on their faces, though one of them still looked visibly flushed. The situation seemed unusual, and just as the waiter opened his mouth to speak, strange and unsettling noises emerged from the private room the two girls had exited.
“Oh… baby… faster! Come on, baby… faster! Faster… I’m dying! I’m dying!”
The lewd, unhinged cries caused the waiter to freeze mid-step, his hand hovering just above the doorknob. He quickly decided against investigating further.
On their way down the stairs, Chen Shuran turned to Wang Qianya. “What’s going to happen to him?” she asked, referring to Jiang Dong as they walked. The effects of the drug she had accidentally consumed were wearing off, and aside from her slightly flushed complexion, she felt much better now. However, thinking back to how Jiang Dong had almost assaulted her filled her with a mix of lingering fear and disgust. Watching him get his due punishment brought her some measure of satisfaction.
“He’ll have a hard time, that’s for sure.” Wang Qianya chuckled faintly, holding Chen Shuran’s hand as they descended the stairs. Her piercing gaze scoured the dancefloor below, searching for someone. Soon enough, her eyes landed on Tang Jie, who was weaving through the crowd near the dancefloor, visibly searching anxiously for her and Chen Shuran.
“There he is. Go to him,” Wang Qianya said, pointing in Tang Jie’s direction. Her voice was calm, as though delivering an instruction.
“What about you?” Chen Shuran asked, clearly puzzled. She looked at Wang Qianya, not understanding why she couldn’t come with her to find Tang Jie. However, before she could probe further, Wang Qianya turned her face slightly to the side, concealing an expression that Chen Shuran couldn’t read.
