Deadly Sweet - Chapter 1 - Bingtanghulu1
The sunlight was warm, and the swaying grass in the gentle breeze seemed to smile. The leaves rustled, harmonizing with the rare cool breeze of summer.
The peaceful scene was suddenly disrupted by a commotion, and if you listened closely, you could hear someone sobbing softly. Jiang Yao shaded his eyes with his slender fingers, squinting impatiently with a lollipop in his mouth.
“Still want a beating? Huh?” He grabbed a handful of dry yellow hair and yanked it upward.
Luo Ping, whose hair was being pulled, stared tearfully at the person who seemed like a demon, shaking his head rapidly like a rattle drum. An Alpha being forced to wet his pants by an Omega was probably the most humiliating moment of his life.
Jiang Yao released his grip, his eyes cold as he watched Luo Ping run away in a panic. A mocking smile tugged at his lips, his once ethereal features now tainted with worldly emotions.
His slender but clearly masculine hand waved in the air, the emotions in his eyes dissipating and then solidifying into a cold, unapproachable stare. He turned on his heel and walked away.
Jiang Yao strolled across the green grass, his half-lowered eyes lazily scanning the vibrant flowers in the garden. He couldn’t help but mutter a few words to himself before letting it go.
The wooden door opened from the inside, and the waiting butler took Jiang Yao’s coat with a respectful bow. “Third young master, the second young master is waiting for you in the study.”
“Okay.” Jiang Yao showed no fear in his eyes. He pinched the bridge of his nose with his long fingers, glanced over himself to ensure there were no bloodstains, and then headed to the study.
With a slight push, he opened the ajar wooden door. The person at the desk looked up, his sharp features bearing a three or four-point resemblance to Jiang Yao.
“Did you get into a fight again?”
“Just went to the dentist.” Jiang Yao obediently walked to Jiang Yuan’s side, showing no trace of the ferocity he had displayed earlier.
Jiang Yuan looked at his seemingly obedient but actually wild younger brother with a headache. His well-defined fingers tapped on the wooden desk, his eyes stern. “If you went to the dentist, why did you get into a fight?”
“He deserved it.” Jiang Yao wouldn’t lie but also wouldn’t hide the truth. He stuck out his tongue, the pink tip quickly retracting, his eyes soft and gentle.
“That’s no reason to make someone cry, is it?” Just twenty minutes before Jiang Yao came home, Jiang Yuan had received a complaint from the Luo Family saying their grandson had been seriously injured by his younger brother.
It wasn’t a big deal; a fight was a fight, and there was no need for the Jiang Family to apologize. But… Jiang Yuan’s gaze grew deeper as he looked at Jiang Yao.
“Who told him to be so weak?” Jiang Yao shrugged, smiling innocently.
Jiang Yuan was speechless with anger. He opened his mouth to scold, but when he met Jiang Yao’s clear eyes, the words stuck in his throat.
“You!” Jiang Yuan was so angry he almost exploded. What could he scold his brother for? After all, an Alpha who couldn’t even beat an Omega was useless!
Seeing Jiang Yuan’s expression, Jiang Yao turned his head and secretly smiled. When he turned back, he was once again the innocent little brother, making Jiang Yuan feel even more heartache.
“Brother, anything else?” Jiang Yao asked, trying to sneak out.
Jiang Yuan’s face darkened, and he scolded softly, “Come back here!” Did he really not want to see him? He hadn’t even been in the room for ten minutes and already wanted to leave!
Jiang Yao pouted, his lively eyes dimming. He twirled a strand of hair around his finger and slowly moved back to Jiang Yuan’s desk.
“Brother~”
“Stop acting cute! Do you know you’re starting your sophomore year this semester?” Jiang Yuan felt a headache coming on. Jiang Yao was also in agony, standing crookedly in front of Jiang Yuan.
Why did the world have to have something as inhumane as the start of a new school year?
“This semester, at the very least, don’t let me hear anything about Alpha Xie Chen and Omega Jiang Yao, got it?” Jiang Yuan was furious. How had his good brother been led astray by that school boss Xie Chen?
Jiang Yao stuck out his tongue, offering no explanation. Although Xie Chen hadn’t led him to fight, he fought even more fiercely than Xie Chen. But there was no need to let his dear brother know that.
“Alright, go rest.” Jiang Yuan waved his hand, signaling Jiang Yao to leave his sight. His deep gaze followed Jiang Yao’s slender back, his already dark eyes growing even darker. “Yao, it’s time to focus on your studies in your sophomore year…”
The rest of his words were left unsaid. Jiang Yao turned back, staring blankly at Jiang Yuan’s complex expression, his sensitive heart aching.
Back in his room, Jiang Yao kicked off his shoes and lay on the soft bed, rolling around a few times. He quietly stared at the glittering ceiling. The pure white ceiling was adorned with golden patterns, which gathered above his head when he slept, shimmering like a galaxy.
Quickly Kneel and Call Me Daddy: Jiang Yao, are you home?
xg: ? What do you want?
Quickly Kneel and Call Me Daddy: Want to fight? Century Square.
Jiang Yao looked at the message from Xie Chen, momentarily speechless. His second brother hadn’t blamed Xie Chen wrongly. He tapped a few times on the screen, and the soft bed lost its warmth as he left.
The servant downstairs opened her mouth to call out, but Jiang Yao had already run out like the wind, not even taking his coat.
Jiang Yuan came down from the study, frowning at the coat still hanging on the rack. His thin lips pressed tightly together, his narrow eyes dark and unreadable. “Yao ran out again?”
The servant, sweating profusely, wiped her forehead, not daring to look at Jiang Yuan, who was on the verge of exploding. She answered softly.
“Just now, the third young master ran out without saying why.”
Though he didn’t say, anyone with a brain could guess. This little troublemaker, what good had he ever done besides getting into fights?
Jiang Yuan’s brows furrowed tightly as he stared at the still-open door, secretly plotting how to deal with Xie Chen, who had led his precious brother astray.
Century Square was bustling with activity today, even more crowded than usual.
Jiang Yao, dressed neatly, looked like a middle schooler who hadn’t graduated yet. He quickly navigated through the noisy market area, his sharp eyes immediately spotting Xie Chen, who was dressed in bright colors with exaggerated hair, making his mouth twitch.
“Are you trying to play a gourd baby?” The colorful hair was really too much.
Xie Chen noticed Jiang Yao’s disdainful look and stuck out his tongue, casually draping an arm over Jiang Yao’s shoulder. He raised an eyebrow at the person confronting him, scoffing lightly.
“I say, do you dare to fight this guy next to me? Don’t say I’m bullying you; he’s just an Omega.”
Jiang Yao rolled his eyes and stomped on Xie Chen’s foot with his canvas shoe, showing no mercy. He only let go when he heard Xie Chen yelp in pain, his cat-like eyes arrogantly scanning the non-mainstream guy opposite them.
He smirked.
His disdainful gaze alone was enough to provoke anger.
The guy opposite them exploded, showing off his biceps. His hair, dyed a reddish-purple, stood up like a ruffled chicken.
“I never bully Omegas! Get lost, or you’ll be crying and begging me later.”
