Daddy, Mommy Ran Away - Chapter 187 - Qianqing is Missing
“Ugh, you’re so annoying.” An Ruoxi turned her head to the side, the warm breath on her face tickling her and making her feel uneasy all over.
“Not going to say it, huh?” Leng Haoyin reached out and turned her face back to him. The softness beneath him was driving him to the edge, familiar desires coursing through his body, gathering in one particular place, beginning to swell.
“What should I say…” She pouted, finding it hard to voice such tender emotions.
Leng Haoyin furrowed his brow, but his voice was laced with a seductive allure, weaving a web that ensnared her heart. “Say you love me.”
“I love you…” Her lips parted slightly, and before she knew it, the words slipped out from the depths of her heart.
As soon as the words were spoken, Leng Haoyin smiled, leaning down to capture her lips in a deep kiss, his hands greedily tracing her contours.
“Haoyin…”
“Call me husband…”
“But we haven’t officially married yet.”
“It doesn’t matter. Married or not, you’re my wife, and I’m your husband. Say it again, be good.”
“Husband…”
An Ruoxi’s heart rose and fell with his movements, her consciousness gradually drifting away.
“My beloved wife, my dearest wife, I will love you forever…”
Leng Haoyin no longer waited, his strong waist thrusting forward, deeply embedding himself within her, causing her to shiver with surprise. Just as she felt her soul might escape her body, his gentle murmurs turned into satisfied growls, and a wave of searing heat enveloped her, sending her soaring to the clouds.
At that moment, an urgent phone call rang out unexpectedly, shattering the intimate silence that followed their passionate encounter.
Looking down at the woman nestled in his arms, drowsy and content, Leng Haoyin’s lips curled into a doting smile. But as his gaze shifted to the phone on the table, which continued to ring incessantly, his expression turned furious. Damn it, at this hour, who would dare disturb his blissful dream?
“Go answer it…” An Ruoxi murmured, her entire body almost limp in his embrace, her small hand weakly pushing against his chest.
“Hello-what? Well, search everywhere, I’ll be right there!” Hanging up the phone, Leng Haoyin hurriedly began to dress.
“What happened?” An Ruoxi sprang up from the bed, her eyelids twitching with anxiety. “What’s going on?”
“Xiaoqing is missing-”
When they arrived at the hospital entrance, Shen Jun also rushed over: “Haoyin, what’s going on? How could Sister Qing disappear?”
“I don’t know either. Let’s go up and see.”
In the hospital room, Nuan Qianqing’s mother was pacing back and forth, her anxiety palpable, her eyes red and swollen. As soon as she saw Leng Haoyin, she rushed over and grabbed his hand, tears streaming down her face: “Haoyin, you’re finally here. Xiaoqing is missing, what should we do!”
“Aunt, please calm down and tell me what exactly happened.” Leng Haoyin frowned.
“Xiaoqing was sleeping, and I was watching her. But somehow, I fell asleep, and when I woke up, she was gone. I’ve searched the entire floor but can’t find her. What should I do!”
“How long were you asleep?” Shen Jun asked urgently.
“I don’t know, maybe two or three hours.” Nuan Qianqing’s mother replied, her face filled with regret and sorrow.
“Don’t worry, I’ll have someone check the surveillance tapes from each floor to see where Xiaoqing went.” Leng Haoyin reassured her.
In the monitoring room, the administrator brought the tapes and rewound them to a few hours earlier.
In the corridor, several doctors were seen pushing a gurney with a patient who had just undergone surgery. The scene shifted, and the door to the hospital room slowly opened. Standing at the doorway in her hospital gown was Nuan Qianqing, her gaze falling on the patient on the gurney.
On the screen, her slender figure was almost reduced to a thin white line, her hair cascading like seaweed, blending into the white walls, resembling a lily standing tall in the wind. Her gaze was fixed on the stretcher, her body seemingly frozen in place. Although her facial expression wasn’t clear, the unmistakable daze and sorrow were evident at a glance. The stretcher slowly moved out of the video frame, and after a while, that white figure began to take small steps, following it out.
“Rewind to when that stretcher passed by the ward,” An Ruoxi’s face showed a hint of tension, as she licked her dry lips, her heart clenching tightly. The image paused at the moment when Nuan Qianqing’s gaze swept over the patient lying on the stretcher. Although his head was wrapped in thick bandages, almost obscuring his entire face, the outline of his features was still clearly captured in An Ruoxi’s eyes.
