Daddy, Mommy Ran Away - Chapter 186 - Speculation
“You just said that whenever you like something, Zuo Junchen will go and snatch it away…” An Ruoxi’s eyes widened in shock, her tongue unconsciously licking her dry lips as her suspicion grew stronger. “Have you noticed that Xuanhan’s face, besides resembling Xiaoqing, also looks a lot like someone else?”
“You mean…” Leng Haoyin felt as if struck by lightning, his heart skipping a beat. “Xuanhan is Zuo Junchen’s son!”
With An Ruoxi’s reminder, he suddenly realized that Xuanhan did indeed bear some resemblance to Zuo Junchen.
Realizing this, it was as if a bucket of oil had been poured over him, igniting a furious blaze within. The anger in his hawk-like eyes swept over like a storm. “Damn it! Is he even a man?”
He could accept a man using some tactics for power and profit. But deceiving and using a woman’s feelings to achieve his goals was truly despicable. Especially disappearing after using her, without any responsibility-such a man was unworthy of being Leng Haoyin’s brother!
His breath, wrapped in rage, spilled hotly over An Ruoxi’s cheeks, making her pause for a moment.
An Ruoxi understood why he was angry, but she always felt that Brother Zuo wasn’t that kind of person. Although he seemed flirtatious, perhaps there was some misunderstanding in between.
“Hey-” She extended her little finger, gently pushing against his chest, swallowing hard. “Can you not be angry just yet? There might be things we don’t know about. Wait until everything comes to light, then decide if you want to be angry, okay?”
“No!” He was really angry now. Just thinking about Xiaoqing’s painful state of mind, the anger he had just suppressed surged back up.
He had long considered Xiaoqing as his own younger sister.
An Ruoxi blinked her big eyes, pointing at the crystal clock on the wall. “But, look at the time now. Don’t you want to sleep?”
He didn’t want to sleep, but she was really tired. After a whole day of work, her eyelids felt as heavy as a thousand pounds. If it weren’t for waiting for him, she would have already closed them.
The amber glow of the chandelier cast a warm light on her alabaster skin, and the moisture from her tongue left tiny, glistening droplets on her rosy lips.
His throat tightened instantly, and the anger that had filled him seemed to transform into another familiar kind of heat. His dark eyes grew hazy as he lowered his head, his strong nose brushing through her soft hair, gently grazing her ear. His rough voice carried the allure of the night, “Darling, are you inviting me?”
Uh-The hot breath, laced with his magnetic voice, seeped into her sensitive ear, causing her fair skin to shiver slightly. A captivating blush spread across her face, and her voice softened involuntarily, “No, I just want to sleep.”
“Really not?” His seductive lips curved slightly upward, and the next moment, he wickedly extended his tongue, lightly licking her pearl-like earlobe, “Not being honest.”
In truth, it was his large hand that was the most dishonest, trailing down from her chin, gliding over her elegant collarbone. The ribbon on her nightgown slipped off, bringing a slight chill, yet it ignited with heat the instant his burning fingertips touched it.
“Hey, stop it, it’s late, I want to sleep,” An Ruoxi grabbed his wandering hand, trying to calm her racing heart, and gave him a gentle glare.
“Alright, if you say you love me, I’ll go to sleep obediently.” Supporting his head with one hand, Leng Haoyin leaned sideways, half-pressing her soft body, wickedly caressing her legs through the silky nightgown.
“Say what…” An Ruoxi timidly tried to shift her position, but his long arm extended, directly clasping her slender waist, pulling her tightly against him.
“Say you love me, hurry up, say it, and I’ll sleep obediently tonight.” He mischievously lowered his head, blowing warm air onto her already crimson cheeks, his dark eyes rippling with a teasing smile, “Otherwise, if I can’t sleep, I’ll have to find something else to do.”
