Daddy, Mommy Ran Away - Chapter 182 - Awakening
“This Aunt is as beautiful as Mommy,” little Xuanhan said, wrapping his soft, white arms around An Ruoxi’s neck. His eyes, however, were fixed on the Aunt lying in the hospital bed. Seeing Nuan Qianqing’s bloodless face, his small brows furrowed deeply. “But, Mommy, what’s wrong with this beautiful Aunt?”
“Aunt is sick, and her head was bleeding just now.”
“Then Xuanhan will blow on it, and Aunt won’t hurt anymore,” Xuanhan said innocently. He wriggled out of An Ruoxi’s arms, climbed to the edge of the bed, and gently leaned over to blow on the bandaged wound. “Aunt, be good. Xuanhan will blow on it, and it won’t hurt. You have to wake up soon, okay?”
As Xuanhan gently blew on her forehead, her eyelashes fluttered slightly. Miraculously, Nuan Qianqing’s eyelids twitched, and she opened her eyes, staring intently at the innocent little face that filled her vision. A warm current seemed to flow through her heart, and she parted her lips slightly, revealing a smile as beautiful as a blooming lotus.
“Mommy, the beautiful Aunt is awake!” Xuanhan, who was happily blowing on her forehead, was the first to notice Nuan Qianqing waking up. His rosy cheeks were filled with excitement.
An Ruoxi and Leng Haoyin exchanged glances, both filled with indescribable joy. Leng Haoyin stood up from his chair and looked at her. “Xiaoqing-you’re awake?”
“Ow-” She tried to move her body to sit up, but the pain from her forehead made her face scrunch up. An Ruoxi quickly helped her up, placing a pillow behind her for support.
“Thank you.” With her eyes narrowing into crescent moons, Nuan Qianqing smiled at An Ruoxi, glanced around the room, and then focused back on An Ruoxi’s face. “I remember you’re Brother Yin’s friend. Did Brother Yin ask you to take care of me? Where is Brother Yin?”
“Xiaoqing, look at me. Do you know who I am?” Leng Haoyin stepped forward in surprise, pointing to himself.
Nuan Qianqing, like a startled little rabbit, grabbed An Ruoxi’s arm and shrank behind her, whispering timidly, “There’s a bad person, a bad person.”
The two exchanged looks, their initial joy replaced by concern. An Ruoxi held her close, gently probing, “Don’t you recognize him? He’s your Brother Yin.”
“No, he’s not!” Nuan Qianqing shook her head, her clear eyes darting to him before she whispered to An Ruoxi, “I’ll tell you a secret. Brother Yin has a Tear Mole under his left eye. He doesn’t have it, so he’s not my Brother Yin.”
The atmosphere in the hospital room turned strange. Even Xiaobao and Xiaobei, who were playing with their phones on the sofa, exchanged puzzled glances.
“I’ll go get Hanqi to take a look,” Leng Haoyin said in a low voice before leaving the room.
“Oh, the bad person is gone, the bad person is gone,” Nuan Qianqing clapped her hands joyfully when Leng Haoyin left.
“Beautiful Aunt, my daddy is not a bad person.” Hearing Nuan Qianqing call Leng Haoyin a bad person, Xuanhan’s face turned red, and he pouted, defending his daddy. “My daddy is the best daddy in the world.”
“Ah, ah, ah… go away, go away,” Nuan Qianqing glanced at Xuanhan, waving her hands to shoo him away. Then she quickly curled herself into the blanket, her whole body trembling. “Dead, dead, the child is dead. I killed my child with my own hands.”
