Daddy, Mommy Ran Away - Chapter 163 - The Fight for the Children
He set down the towel he had been using to dry his hair and wrapped his arms around her from behind. His broad chest pressed firmly against her back as he traced the contours of her slender figure. Resting his chin on her shoulder, he murmured, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have invaded your privacy.”
His deep, rich voice fell softly, carrying with it a tender warmth. An Ruoxi’s heart began to race, her eyes widening as she turned to meet his gaze. “You really read it?”
The arms encircling her waist tightened suddenly, pulling their bodies even closer together. “Babe, do you know how much I missed you after you left? I missed your voice, your eyes, your nose―everything about you. I went mad with longing, lost all reason, and that’s why I read it. But, babe, when I realized that the ‘big brother’ you secretly admired was me, I was so happy I laughed until I cried. I’ve kept it with me ever since, as if having it near meant you were near too..”
Longing, he thought, was like a poisoned wine-dangerous and intoxicating. Even knowing it could harm him, he couldn’t resist taking sip after sip, until it nearly consumed him. But just as it was about to take his breath away, his antidote returned to him, and he was saved.
Hearing this, An Ruoxi felt a pang of emotion, her nose tingling as her eyes softened. His words mirrored her own feelings. Longing was a pain that breathed, a constant ache. How could she not have missed him? Her heart, the most tender part of her, was stirred, and a thin mist of tears welled up in her eyes. She couldn’t help but reach out to touch his handsome face, her delicate fingers brushing against his chiseled features. Her heart quivered.
“Babe, did you miss me?” His gaze burned into hers, and a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
Biting her lip, An Ruoxi stubbornly refused to admit it. “No.”
Leng Haoyin wasn’t angry at her response. Instead, his devilish smile deepened, his eyes gleaming mischievously as he teased, “Really? Not at all?”
“No, not at all,” she insisted, refusing to give in. She had been the one to leave, after all. Admitting she missed him would be too humiliating.
“I’ll give you one more chance. Are you sure?” His smile widened, his tone laced with playful menace.
Seeing his eyebrows arch and his expression grow more wicked, a mischievous spark ignited in her own heart. Her large, expressive eyes darted about as she replied with exaggerated charm, “Nope. Not even a little.”
“Very well. Such bravery deserves a reward.” With that, his hands moved swiftly from her waist to her underarms, launching a surprise tickle attack.
“No-ah!” An Ruoxi tried to retreat, her hands flailing to fend off Leng Haoyin’s relentless assault. In her panic, she didn’t notice the bed behind her and fell backward onto its soft surface. Before she could recover, Leng Haoyin’s tall frame loomed over her, pinning her down completely. She could barely move, and before she could catch her breath, his hands resumed their mischievous attack, tickling her all over. Every touch sent shivers through her.
“Stop-haha-okay, okay! I missed you! I missed you so much I thought I’d go crazy!” Her laughter rang out like a cascade of wind chimes, filling the cozy hospital room with warmth.
“Ha! My stomach hurts from laughing so much,” she gasped, clutching her sides.
“Your stomach hurts? Let me take care of that for you…” Leng Haoyin’s devilish grin returned as he leaned in, his warm lips descending.
“Mm-”
“Did you miss me?” he murmured.
“No,” she replied stubbornly. She refused to say such embarrassing words, especially since he was the one who had wanted this moment in the first place. Why should she take the blame?
“You just said you did,” he teased, his hands pushing against her chest as a blush crept up her cheeks.
“That was then. Now it’s you who wants it,” she retorted. “As your wife, I can’t bear to see you suffer, so I’ll graciously let you fulfill your desires,” he declared with mock solemnity, his roguish demeanor making her burst into laughter.
His hands slipped beneath her clothes, caressing her through the fabric. His smile grew even more wicked as he leaned in close, his voice a deep, seductive whisper. “Since you want it so badly, I’ll oblige.”
“Do you want it?” His hand parted her legs, his desire pressing against her, already damp with anticipation.
Her heart skipped a beat, her body frozen as she saw the familiar darkness in his eyes, now ablaze with a fire that threatened to consume her.
“You little witch. Want it or not, you’re getting it,” he growled, unable to hold back any longer. He plunged into her, his movements wild and unrestrained. Fireworks exploded in her mind, stealing her breath away. Each thrust sent her soaring higher, the sensation both overwhelming and exquisite.
The room grew hotter, the air thick with passion. Their mingled voices formed a symphony of primal desire. But just as their fervor reached its peak, a phone rang.
Both their phones had the same ringtone, thanks to Leng Haoyin’s domineering insistence. Now, they couldn’t tell whose was ringing.
“Damn it. You’re not focusing on me. Don’t answer it. Let it ring,” he growled, thrusting harder in a show of dominance.
But the persistent ringing refused to be ignored, breaking the mood entirely.
“Alright, alright. Get up and answer it,” An Ruoxi urged, her body slick with sweat and exhaustion. Meanwhile, Leng Haoyin seemed as energetic as ever, showing no signs of stopping.
“Damn it,” he cursed, reluctantly pulling away. An Ruoxi stifled a laugh as he grumbled and reached for his phone.
It turned out both their phones were ringing simultaneously.
“Hello? What’s going on?”
“Mr. Yuchi, what’s the matter?”
“What?!” Both froze, their eyes widening in shock.
The calls were from the Leng Family’s bodyguards and Yuchi Gong from the Ouyang family. Leng Chuyan had stormed into the Ouyang family villa with a group of bodyguards, intent on taking the three children back.
“Alright, we’re on our way.”
They hurriedly dressed and rushed to the Ouyang estate in the mountains.
The scene at the Ouyang villa was chaotic.
Two rows of black-clad bodyguards stood like towering pines, while in the middle, two imposing middle-aged men faced off, their tension palpable. The three children caught in the middle, however, seemed thoroughly entertained, their wide eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Being fought over like treasures wasn’t so bad, they thought.
When An Ruoxi and Leng Haoyin arrived, they found the two men squaring off like children, ready to brawl. If not for the people holding them back, they would have already come to blows.
“Ouyang, you’re acting like a bandit! Those three are my grandsons. Taking them home is only natural. What’s your problem? Or do you plan to keep them for yourself?” Leng Chuyan’s eyebrows shot up in fury, his face red with anger.
“Haha!” Ouyang Pei laughed, clearly enjoying Leng Chuyan’s frustration. “Yes, they’re my daughter’s children, and I do plan to keep them. What are you going to do about it? If you’ve got a problem, go tell your son to have more kids!”
“You-” Leng Chuyan was livid, his hands on his hips as he glared. “Without my son, your daughter wouldn’t have had those kids in the first place!”
“Who says my daughter couldn’t have kids?” Ouyang Pei shot back, his face darkening. “She had three, didn’t she? Maybe you need your eyes checked-or are they just full of crap?”
“You’re the one full of crap! Without my son, your daughter’s kids wouldn’t be this smart. They’d probably be idiots!” Leng Chuyan retorted, his tone as sharp as a knife.
“You dare call my grandsons idiots?!” Ouyang Pei’s fury ignited, his old gangster instincts kicking in as he rolled up his sleeves. “I’ll kill you!”
“Haha!” Leng Chuyan laughed, his anger giving way to smug satisfaction. “Kill me? Go ahead! But if you do, I’ll make sure my son doesn’t marry your daughter. Let’s see how she likes that!”
“Damn you! If you dare stop my daughter from marrying your son, I’ll shoot you dead!” Ouyang Pei roared, reaching for his gun.
“Haha! Bring it on!” Leng Chuyan taunted, unafraid. This was Ouyang Pei’s turf, but as An Ruoxi’s future father-in-law, he felt invincible.
“Fine! I’ll kill you and make Leng Haoyin marry into the Ouyang family. The kids will all take the Ouyang name. Haha!”
“Over my dead body! Don’t forget, Ruoxi hasn’t even acknowledged you as her father yet!”
Neither man was willing to back down, their argument escalating to the brink of violence.
Meanwhile, the three children sat off to the side, munching on potato chips with their legs crossed, thoroughly enjoying the show. When they spotted An Ruoxi and Leng Haoyin, they immediately ran over, throwing themselves into her arms. “Mommy, you’re here!”
