- Chapter 39 - Zhang Jishu, Wait a Moment, Here's the Elevator
“So, why should I choose Huanya among so many companies?” Zhang Jishu said, his large hand covering mine…
I’m not naive; Zhang Jishu might as well have “I want you to sleep with me” written on his forehead.
I turned my hand over to grasp his, smiling coyly, “President Zhang, I wonder if I could be the reason you choose Huanya?”
Zhang Jishu’s eyes lit up, pulling my hand to his mouth, teasing with warm breath, “That depends on whether you’re worth it.”
I swiftly withdrew my hand, picking up a nearby towel to wipe it carefully, my eyes not meeting his but still casting a flirtatious glance, “Worth it or not, wouldn’t you know after trying?”
Zhang Jishu’s face broke into a lascivious grin, immediately dialing a number to book a presidential suite at the Atlantis Hotel.
Meanwhile, I discreetly dialed a number myself.
Once arrangements were made, Zhang Jishu didn’t bother with the half-finished dinner, calling a waiter to settle the bill.
I dabbed at my mouth, playfully complaining, “President Zhang, in such a hurry? I’m not even full yet.”
Zhang Jishu signed the bill casually, standing up with a wicked smile, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re well-fed soon.”
Faced with such crude remarks, I was mortified, yet needing his favor, I forced a sweet smile.
Zhang Jishu was already impatient, his eyes burning as he stared at me, as if he couldn’t wait to have his way right there.
I rose slowly, following him out of the restaurant, my eyes involuntarily drifting towards Song Yu and Nian Hua as we passed the band.
Song Yu and Nian Hua sat across from each other, chatting and laughing, Nian Hua even serving Song Yu food, which he accepted with a smile as radiant as a blooming peony.
Had I not seen it myself, I’d have thought he’d never show such a toothy grin in his life.
But I must admit, Nian Hua really knows how to play her cards, feeding him so intimately.
Song Yu isn’t exactly lacking hands.
Zhang Jishu noticed my sluggish pace and urged, “What’s the hold-up? What are you looking at?” He followed my gaze, chuckling, “Song Yu sure is generous with his boyfriend.”
I looked at Zhang Jishu, puzzled, “What do you mean?”
“You work at Huanya and don’t know about this?” Zhang Jishu stared at me incredulously.
I shook my head, genuinely unaware.
Seeing I wasn’t lying, Zhang Jishu continued, “Just a few days ago, your boss’s boyfriend messed up a project and got criticized in a meeting. Then Song Yu lavishly spent $30 billion, taking on all investments and projects of Yili Energy Company as the primary investor.”
“Those in the know say he’s standing up for his lover; those who don’t might think he’s acquiring the company.”
Listening to Zhang Jishu, I suddenly recalled that afternoon when Song Yu rushed off the golf course after taking a call from Nian Hua, likely because of this matter.
Zhang Jishu wrapped an arm around my waist, smiling, “Let’s go, don’t interrupt their sweet moment.”
I awkwardly dodged Zhang Jishu’s hand, feigning a playful scold, “President Zhang, there are so many people here.”
Zhang Jishu laughed heartily, withdrawing his hand, “Alright, alright, let’s be mindful of appearances.”
Though I kept a smile on my face, my heart was heavy.
I nearly died at Wang Li’an’s hands that day, and Song Yu not only used me as bait, delaying the police until the last moment to save me, but also spent $30 billion to smooth things over for Nian Hua. I had worried about his stocks being frozen and his difficult situation.
I was such a fool.
Zhang Jishu and I walked out of the restaurant, one after the other. Since he had been drinking, the restaurant thoughtfully arranged for a driver to take us to the Atlantis Hotel. With a third person present, although I sat beside Zhang Jishu in the back seat, he remained polite throughout. Yet, I knew he was holding back.
Sure enough, as soon as we entered the elevator at the hotel, Zhang Jishu couldn’t contain himself any longer. He pressed me against the mirrored wall, kissing and nibbling at me.
I fought the discomfort, turning my head to avoid his mouth. “President Zhang, wait… wait a moment, uh… hold on… this is an elevator… there’s surveillance…”
Zhang Jishu, having restrained himself all the way here, was beyond caring. He wrapped one arm around my waist, while his other hand slipped under my clothes, moving downward. “Don’t worry, this hotel is excellent at maintaining client privacy. No one will be watching, and even if they did, they wouldn’t dare spread it. No need to worry.”
I clutched his hand through the fabric, trying to stop his advances, coaxing him softly. “President Zhang, can we go to the room? I’m nervous like this, can’t relax.”
Zhang Jishu pinched my abdomen, chuckling lowly. “Why be shy? You’ll be showing it all to me soon enough.”
I nestled against him, pouting playfully. “Why rush? I’ll be yours eventually.”
My seductive demeanor clearly pleased Zhang Jishu. He tapped my nose with his finger, laughing lewdly. “Little minx, you’ll have your fun soon enough.”
Just then, the elevator chimed, arriving at the 26th floor.
Zhang Jishu returned to his gentlemanly facade, striding out of the elevator. My stomach churned with nausea, but I maintained a fake smile, reluctantly following him toward the room.
Zhang Jishu expertly punched a few numbers into the keypad, and the door lock clicked open automatically.
It seemed he frequented this room.
As the door swung open, the room was pitch black, contrary to what I had expected.
My heart raced. Had I miscalculated? Was I jumping from the frying pan into the fire?
I stepped back, intending to flee, but Zhang Jishu grabbed me, slamming the door shut.
“Where do you think you’re going, hmm?” Zhang Jishu held my wrist, pressing me against a cabinet, wedging his leg between mine, grinding forcefully.
A chill ran down my spine as I pushed against his chest desperately. “Zhang Jishu, let go… let go of me…”
Zhang Jishu scoffed, clearly dismissing my resistance. He grabbed my flailing hands with one hand, raising them above my head, while his other hand went for my belt. In a gruff voice, he said, “Playing hard to get now, huh? Isn’t it a bit late for that?”
As he spoke, my belt buckle was undone, and my smooth trousers slipped to the floor, leaving my legs exposed.
I shivered all over, my legs trembling like leaves in the wind, pleading desperately, “President Zhang, I’ve changed my mind. I don’t want to discuss the project anymore. Please, let me go.”
“I made a mistake. I won’t dare to do it again.”
Regret washed over me, wondering why I gambled on such an uncertain factor and got myself into this mess.
“Damn it, I’m already hard, and now you want me to let you go? Wait until I’m satisfied.”
Just then, the room lights flickered on.
Clap, clap, clap, clap —
A round of applause echoed, catching both Zhang Jishu and me off guard. We turned towards the living room.
A woman, voluptuous and heavily made-up, sat in the center of the sofa with her arms crossed, flanked by four burly bodyguards in black.
Her face was dark, her eyes fixed on Zhang Jishu, her chest heaving as she breathed heavily.
“Wife? Why… why are you here?” Zhang Jishu was stunned, his words stumbling. He quickly pushed me away, fumbling to pull up his pants.
Freed, I hurriedly dressed and retreated to the side, taking deep breaths.
Thank heavens, I had gambled and won.
The woman rose and walked toward Zhang Jishu, her bodyguards following closely. Despite her middle-aged plumpness, her inherent dignity was undeniable.
“Zhang Jishu, I was always wary of those little vixens outside, but never imagined you’d be playing with men! I wondered why you changed assistants more often than clothes. So, they were all your kept trash, huh?”
“You’ve really made progress, haven’t you? Have you forgotten who helped you build Boyang? Without my family, you’d still be a broke programmer.”
“And now that life is good, you’re sneaking around with men?”
“Wife, wife, calm down, listen… listen to me…” Zhang Jishu raised his hands, trying to soothe her.
But the woman ignored his pleas, signaling the bodyguards with a nod. They immediately stepped forward, restraining Zhang Jishu and forcing him to kneel.
“Wife, let’s talk this through, it’s not what it looks like…” Zhang Jishu struggled, his face flushed, but a forceful twist from the bodyguards dislocated his shoulder with a loud crack. He screamed in pain, ceasing his resistance, looking like a defeated dog.
The woman took a stack of documents from the bodyguards and tossed them in front of Zhang Jishu, speaking with authority, “Sign them.”
Sweat dripped from Zhang Jishu’s face as he glanced at the papers, his voice trembling, “What are these?”
“Divorce agreement and equity division agreement.” As she spoke, a bodyguard helpfully flipped through the agreements for Zhang Jishu.
After a quick glance, Zhang Jishu’s expression changed, gritting his teeth as he glared at the woman, “Sun Yanting, you’re ruthless. You’ve got everything prepared, haven’t you? This was all premeditated.”
Suddenly, his gaze shifted to me, his sharp eyes calculating, then he sneered, “Oh, I see. You set me up, waiting for me to fall into the trap, catch me red-handed, force me to divorce, and relinquish my stock, right?”
“Smart, very smart.”
“Bai Yu, I really underestimated you.”
I swallowed hard, avoiding Zhang Jishu’s piercing gaze.
