“She’s been by the president’s side for almost eight years. Both she and her brother are his trusted aides, practically the second and third in command of the company.”

“Goddess? I think she looks pretty average. Her skills in bed must be her real talent!” Yu Linglong said jealously.

But Nangong Yao immediately noticed the woman sitting alone at a table, surrounded by her colleagues. Clearly, under Yu Linglong’s leadership, she had been completely isolated in just a few days. With Xiang Wei off to get food, he found a seat and smiled meaningfully. His calm, cold voice broke the silence, echoing through the entire cafeteria. “Lawyer Yu, could you come over here for a moment?”

“Linglong, is he calling you?” An employee nudged Yu Linglong, who stood up proudly. But she quickly realized Nangong Yao wasn’t looking at her at all; his eyes were fixed on Yu Nuanxin, who had her back to him. He raised his voice a few notches, calling her by name. “Yu Nuanxin!”

Damn it! He was actually looking for her? Feeling embarrassed but unable to make a scene, Yu Linglong sat back down in a huff.
