Summary
After a terrifying psychopath started hunting me, I took refuge in a psychiatric hospital.
Only then did I realize I had escaped a dragon’s pool straight into a tiger’s den.
The doctor introduced my neighbors with a cheerful smile.
“The fellow next door got the urge to go electrofishing. He charged into a swimming pool and knocked out everyone in it.”
“This one had a firecracker that wouldn’t go off, so he tossed the double-bang firecracker down a manhole. The methane exploded and blew up an entire parking lot.”
“The man across from you is even better. All that overtime meant he couldn’t have a baby, so he put huangjing used for breeding cattle into the office coffee machine.”
“Their security guard became a proud new father. At fifty-five!”
I had no words. How did anyone manage to cause that much trouble in a single lifetime?
I had barely moved in when the doctor offered another warning.
“There are a few men with XYY syndrome farther in. Don’t worry, though. They’re much better behaved now. They don’t kill people very often anymore!”
