Summary
A modern scholar wakes in the Great Zhou as Wei Nisheng, the younger twin blamed for his mother’s and grandfather’s deaths. Despised by his own family and confined to a neglected courtyard, he learns to survive with only his grandfather’s old attendant at his side.
When a servant’s lies push his family too far, Nisheng fights back. As word of his defiance spreads through the capital, he draws the notice of powerful scholars and claims the inheritance promised to his late uncle’s line. Now living apart from the Wei household, he hopes to secure a place under the retired chief grand secretary Lord Feng—but gaining a teacher and a future at court will demand more than talent.
