Summary
On the day I returned to the capital from the prison of Northern Shuo, I happened upon the Crown Prince’s wedding to my younger sister. Three years ago, I had written every last romance of Chang’an for him, only for him to hand me over to an enemy state with his own hands. Three years later, the whole city saw me as nothing more than a joke. Only that deposed prince gathered up my old poems, stole military maps for me, and drank poisoned wine in my place. When I lifted my brush again, what I wrote was no longer love, but the name that would replace this empire.
